Instagram now lets you upload multiple photos on one Story post with ‘layout’ feature

Instagram announced that its Story feature will allow users to post multiple photos on one screen. "Layout" as it's called will roll out globally to all users this week. With this feature, a user can upload up to six photos to a single Story, instead of the previous one-image-per-Story process — via several different grid patterns: a four-box layout, a six-box layout, and two layouts each with three boxes and two boxes, respectively. You’ll be able to upload the Story, with all your photos in one post, just as you normally would. For now, the feature is limited only to photographs and doesn’t encompass videos or the option to record in real-time like Instagram’s “Live” feature.

Do you use Stories often?

Stories have become one of the most popular elements of Instagram and the company has been releasing new features steadily. Especially with the new Create mode, which gives people a place to make content beyond just photos. Since its launch in October, it has been giving a lot of choices including sharing throwback posts. The layout tool could be a potential selling point for third-party apps meaning no need for its billion users to get a solution from other apps like the TikTok app. Want to toggle Instagram's dark mode on your phone? Here's how.
