How to get the Google play store on your Huawei Mate 30 Pro

How to get the Google play store on your Huawei Mate 30 Pro

We now know that Huawei’s latest flagship will not have any Google apps including the likes of Gmail and Maps. This is nothing new if you are in China but it’s probably the reason why you won't get the device if you are outside the country. But there is a third group of people who would still want to get their hands on the device even though it does not come with Google services and that group is those who are fans of the tech giants. So if you fit into that last category then this article will be very useful to you as I am going to guide you through how to sideload these apps.

For those who may not know what sideloading is, it simply is a method of installing applications without using the official Android store. Sideloading is done if for one reason or another you can not get certain applications through the official channels like in the case of the Mate 30 and Mate 30 pro. You must know that what we are about to do is performed at your own risk and we take no responsibility for damaging your phone even though that is highly unlikely to happen.

It is not a very difficult task to accomplish and does not take much time to do either so let's get into it.
This can be done under five(5) minutes as all you need is your device and a connection to the internet, but a strong wifi network connection is advised.

First, you need to visit the official LZ play Google service assistant website. LZ Play is widely used in China so you should not be surprised if you see the Chinese text on their website.

Then download and install an application called Google service assistant which is in Chinese. After downloading you need to run the app and let it install. You may need to give the app permission to install the when you run it.

The installer will download and install all the needed frameworks and files on your device along with the play store app. Once that is done, the google play store should appear in your apps drawer where you can select it. You may not be able to sign in at first but a simple restart should fix that.

After the restart, you can sign in and download all the other Google apps you need. If you encounter any problem with any downloaded google app, just restart your device and it should work fine. The best thing to do will be to download all the google apps you are going to need after you sign in to the google play store and then restart your device to avoid any error messages.

And voila, you have all the google apps you need. Enjoy.
