It felt like a déjà vu when MTN suffered network outage that affected its mobile services across West Africa. Customers experienced problems with data and international calls for more a day. MTN on Sunday announced that it has fully restored data and voice services after major disruptions on Thursday. The Telcom giant is now doing damage control by compensating every mobile customer with 2GB bonus data.

The CEO of MTN Ghana Selorm Adadevoh said, “all data customers on MTN Ghana’s network will receive free 2GB data valid for 2 days.

The CEO said, “We appreciate customers for their patience and support during the period of the disruption”. In a press statement released by the telco, it said that the goodwill bonus will be sent to the data account of customers and not through a website. MTN will start this exercise on January 23, 2020. MTN Ghana remains committed to its mission ‘to make the lives of customers a whole lot brighter’ through continuous investments in network and technology infrastructure.
