Huawei has announced the most powerful mobile phone processor

Huawei has announced the most powerful mobile phone processor

IFA 2019 has brought a lot of new and exciting announcements from the camp of Huawei. We will have to wait a little bit longer to find out if the Mate 30 will come with Android10 since nothing has been revealed on that so far. The main highlight was the new flagship chipset coming in the next mate devices.

Huawei revealed two new chipsets under their Kirin lineup namely the Kirin 990 and the Kirin 990 5G. As their names suggest, the non 5G version comes without 5G whiles the other is built-in and is the first flagship soc to have that. The Kirin 990 has the best 5G, best AI and provides the best performance making it the fastest SOC available now and is expected to be in the Mate 30 which will be revealed in a few days. The  5G version is an upgrade on the non 5G version as it uses the latest manufacturing process and has the 5G modem built-in. Huawei is focusing a lot on video this time as we have seen from leaks of the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro and it’s first of a kind lens(drop a link here). A video showed by them displayed how you can cut people that you are filming out of a background and put other backgrounds in its’s place. The new chipsets also bring huge improvements to its already brilliant low light performance for both picture and video. Another unique feature in the Kirin 990 is the ability to take someone’s heart rate by filming their face. The processor detects tiny differences in blood flow around someone’s face and gives you their heart rate. Huawei’s health AR app can also detect your respiratory rate and more.

They also released new colour variants of the p 30 Pro along with the announcement of a new update that will bring better colour science to the p30 series.  They also launched the A1 chips for their wearables like their smartwatches and earbuds. It will have Bluetooth 5.0 which gives noise cancellation of up to 15 decibels. Along with the A1 was the free buds 3 which looks similar to apple’s airpods. Also, Honor which is Huawei's subbrand will be launching the Honor  v20 which will come with the kirin 990 chipset. The Kirin 990 makes the Mate 30 pro look like it is going to be an incredibly powerful phone and if Huawei finds a way to get Google apps on the device, then they will continue to enjoy the level of success they have been enjoying in recent years.
