Here’s the thing. there’s a list, a list of bodies of work we thought were good, noteworthy and you know, they fit in the moments, a list full of albums that I feel did bits. there’s a lot of them to be fair but only 20 made the cut. It was very difficult to pick because loads of great music dropped this year.
If you don’t spot some of your faves in here, however, evaluate your music taste haha. also in the era where artist dominance is determined by streams, quality and the general perception of music is generally changed, but in this case, that isn’t a metric for how good it may have been because there’s been a lot of great stuff going under the radar so hopefully you may even discover a few. so yea streams and numbers aren’t so important to us. Lastly, the list isn’t in any particular order, just a culmination of great stuff from different genres so yea. Let’s get into it:
Remember earlier we said 20, well sorry we got carried away. no rules, unpredictable, just like how the year went no order, just vibes. Sadly we never got to see any of these albums performed live but it’s calm still. hopefully, next year more of our favourite artists release music *coughs* *Rihanna* * Kendrick* *Cole* *cough cough cough*. don’t forget to wear a mask, get tested if you have symptoms and stop the unserious behaviour. this year will be madness. so pick yourself up and let’s go. happy listening. safe.
