12 Great Movies You Might Have Missed This Year (2020)

Since the beginning of the year, cinemas first closed in China, then across much of Europe and other parts of Asia, and finally in the world’s biggest market, the US. With nowhere to be screened, big-ticket blockbusters such as the latest James Bond title, No Time to Die, and the live-action remake of Disney’s Mulan postponed their release dates. However, a few other movies managed to squeeze their way out onto the big screens as well as streaming services. Here are a few of those you might have missed probably whiles screaming at the effrontery of 2020.


Bad Boys for Life

Plot: The Bad Boys Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) are back together for one last ride. Marcus has become a police inspector whiles Mike is assigned to head AMMO, a "young guns" group of millennial cops with whom he has nothing in common. Just as they are about to retire, a fierce cartel mob boss whose relative they defeated years earlier assaults Mike. They reunite to take him down.

The Gentlemen

Birds of Prey (and The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

Plot: Told from the perspective of Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), this twisted tale narrates the events that transpire after Harley Quinn leaves the Joker. She needs something to occupy her time and joins forces with Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez). Eventually, they find themselves battling Black Mask (Ewan McGregor) as he as put a target on a young girl named Cass(Ella Jay Basco).

The Old Guard

The Croods: A New Age
