WHATSAPP WILL STOP WORKING ON 'MILLIONS OF PHONES'

With millions of users all over world, WhatsApp since it's introduction in 2009 has become one of the most widely used instant messaging apps in the world. The facebook-owned app announced earlier this week that it is going to drop support for old devices.

Here's the list of operating systems that won't work:
  • Android versions older than 2.3.3
  • Windows Phone 8.0 and older
  • iPhone 3GS/iOS 6
  • Nokia Symbian S60
  • BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10
The following operating systems will still work but you can not create new accounts on them:
  • Nokia S40
  • Android versions 2.3.7 and older
  • iOS 7 and older
If you use any the above listed operating systems, we recomment you upgrade the OS (if possible) or get a new device. There's also good news and that is, in the next updates we should expect group calling for both audio and video WhatsApp calls.
